We are a private, coeducational, college preparatory boarding school serving middle school and high school students in grades 5 through 12 and post-graduate, located in Woodstock, VA.

Students will take core classes in English, history, mathematics and science. From there, the options are plentiful.

  • STEM
    MA offers a well-established, hands-on STEM program in which students immerse themselves in real world experiences in the pathway of their choice. The three STEM options are biomedical, computer science and engineering.
  • Dual Enrollment
    MA is partnered with Shenandoah University to offer dual enrollment courses in math and science.
  • International Baccalaureate
    World renowned International Baccalaureate diploma program features a two-year curriculum where students are able to take courses in English, environmental science, Language Development Personal and Professional Skills, Reflection and Service Learning. Students study a career pathway that aligns with their field of interest and how the career impacts the local and global community.
  • The Arts
    Students engage in the arts through art, band and drama at MA.
  • Morning mindfulness to start the day off on a positive note, students may use this time as they choose. Suggested activities are reading, yoga, prayer and meditation.
  • To ensure physical activity is not neglected, all MA students will participate in sports or intramurals each day.
  • Monitored study period for students to complete course work and to receive individualized assistance if struggling academically.
  • Weekends are full of fun activities for cadets to participate such as cornhole, pool and ping-pong, social time, DIY art projects, and so much more!
  • There are numerous solutions for families interested in MA.
  • Scholarships are available for military families, outstanding academics and those with an affinity for the arts.
  • Financial Aid is available for those families who need assistance.
  • Payment Plans are available to families who need to make payments throughout the year. Once your child is accepted to MA, arrange a meeting with the business office to set up your payment plan.
